How do we hear the movie?
The audio for the movie is broadcast by low band FM radio. You may tune your car stereo to our station or use a portable boom box. For those of you without a stereo, we recommend that you park near the concession stand where there are speakers mounted on the building. Our retro speakers are currently under repair.
What if it rains?
Here at the Moonlite, as long as our guests stay, we will continue to show the movie. Only heavy fog, severe weather or a power failure will cancel the show.
Do we have to stay in the car?
When you come to join us for “Movies Under the Stars” please make yourself at home. Feel free to stay in the comfort of your own car, or bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the great outdoors.
Why are drive-in movies still popular?
Drive-ins are becoming fewer in number across the nation, but these outdoor movie theaters are still very popular. We have found that it is a great evening out for the entire family. Our prices are very affordable. You can come in your pajamas. And you are even allowed to smoke in this outdoor setting.
Have you had any special guests at the Moonlite?
Here at the Moonlite, we believe that all of our guests are special. But we are proud to claim that we are now “world famous” - people have visited our drive-in theater from various countries including Japan, Australia, Great Britain and Switzerland.
